Heritage Groups and Societies

Heritage groups

The Fingal Heritage Network brings together heritage groups from around the county to work together and pool information and resources. The network also represents the views of its members and seeks to inform policy making in Fingal County Council and other relevant organizations.

The heritage network currently has a membership of eleven historical and heritage societies operating in Balbriggan, Cloghran, Donabate, Howth, Fingal South-west (Dublin 15), Liffey Valley, Loughshinny and Rush, Lusk, Malahide, Skerries and Swords.

The societies run a wide variety of activities in their areas, including talks, walking tours and exhibitions. Other activities include restoring local places of historical importance such as graveyards and holy wells, and producing publications on local history.
